I never set a goal I can reach.

This one gave me some serious pause. How often do we set achievable goals? Are we aiming too low? In Krav Maga, we are taught to “aim for the wall behind our target.” This has the effect of helping one not pull one’s punch.

What if by setting our goals too low we are pulling our punches?

You are in danger of living a life so comfortable & soft, that you will die without ever realizing your true potential.

How often do we not do the thing out of fear of being uncomfortable? How comfortable are we with risk, in business or life?

Nobody cares what you did yesterday. What have you done today to better yourself?

This one gave me pause. From a business perspective, I’m turning this one around to, “What did I do for my clients today?”

When you think that you are done, you’re only 40% into what your body’s capable of doing. That’s just the limits that we put on ourselves.

We are so much more capable than we think we are. In the last year, I’ve lost 50 pounds and got into better shape than I was in the last several years before I retired from the military. Maybe better shape than the last ten years I was in the military.

Be more than motivated/driven, become literally obsessed to the point where people think you’re f*cking nuts.

I think I’m personally already here in some regard. I’m obsessed with adding value for my clients on the tech / marketing / real estate side, helping them win. An experience with the housing crisis in 2008 lit a fire that burns to this day.
